FAIRFAX, VA—AUGUST 01, 2010—CPS Professional Services, LLC, was awarded a multi-million dollar contract with the United States Transportation Security Administration, for Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Training and Consulting Services. CPS will provide staff training in Lean Six Sigma methodologies. CPS Professional Services, LLC (CPS) is a Management Consulting company that designs and delivers performance-based solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness; with a focus on Business Transformation and Performance Management. BURKE/ALEXANDRIA, VA—January 04, 2010—CPS Professional Services, LLC (CPS), is pleased to announce Mr. Tom Arnsmeyer has joined CPS as partner and Chief Operating Officer (COO) on December 12, 2009. Mr. Arnsmeyer will manage corporate operations.

Mr. Tom Arnsmeyer is a seasoned leader in the Services and Consulting Business. Prior to joining CPS Professional Services as our Chief Operations Officer, he spent over 30 years in senior management and leadership in both the private and public sector. Mr. Arnsmeyer previously served as COO for Wintara, Vice President of Raytheon Technical Services Homeland Security business, with revenues over $400 million and Vice President of Northrop Grumman's IT Security and Infrastructure Solutions operating unit, with revenues in excess of $350 million. While in these positions he successfully achieved competitive year-over-year sales and profit growth. Mr. Arnsmeyer was also the lead executive for major pursuits in the homeland and international markets. He also started Northrop Grumman IT Managed Services Horizontal practice, chartered to bring "best practices and expertise" in managed services to the company.

BURKE, VA—September 29, 2009—CPS Professional Services, LLC, has been awarded a contract with the Business Transformation Agency (BTA) of the Department of Defense (DoD) to provide key services that support critical DoD business operations. Building on previous successful projects with the BTA, CPS will provide experienced and knowledgeable professionals in the areas of finance, acquisition, budgeting, communications and administration, to perform specialized, transformational work within the Office of the Deputy Chief Management Officer (ODCMO). The ODCMO performs a critical advisory role to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense in improving and managing business operations in the Department of Defense.

BURKE, VA—September 29, 2009—The United States Department of Agriculture has engaged CPS Professional Services, LLC, to provide policy development services to the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS) International Services (IS). APHIS has the broad mission of protecting the health and value of American agriculture and natural resources through blocking disease and pestilence pathways to the United States. CPS provides related services under its GSA MOBIS Schedule.

CPS has spent the past two years engaging in APHIS projects valued at well over $1 million. Projects included establishing a Concept of Operations for the Agency's overseas workforce and a robust set of eighty-eight supporting standard operating procedures. CPS also designed a Decision Model to help quantify administrative feasibility as a function of technical need, in ranking potential locations for overseas posts. CPS staff worked with APHIS IS overseas personnel in the field, developing a Talent Management and Succession Plan.

The CPS team looks forward to applying its knowledge of APHIS IS' infrastructure, mission, and processes to the new USDA Policy Analyst task, which includes researching and developing new policies that uniformly apply to the agency's international workforce stationed around the world. The work requires crafting international policies, incorporating USDA, OMB and State Department guidelines and regulations, to develop ISO-compliant policy and procedure documentation.

Successful execution of this project will enable APHIS IS to become a performance-based organization, providing administrative field personnel with policy-driven responses to situations that are now handled inconsistently, on a case-by-case basis. APHIS IS can use the new policies as the foundation for developing standard operating procedures, which in turn, can serve as benchmarks for performance objectives.

Reporting to executive sponsor CEO Phil Panzarella is Mr. Greg Foster, the CPS Program Manager. Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects and variations in business processes. Lean offers a systematic approach to eliminating waste to develop procedures that are more efficient. Lean Six Sigma helps management improve workforce throughput while upholding high quality standards. The methodology borrows martial arts terminology to designate various levels of LSS expertise, culminating with Master Black Belts.

In hard economic times, an Army faced with its seventh year of conflict seeks the strategic advantages offered by prevailing management wisdom.

Using the Army's Systems Approach to Training (SAT) approved Programs of Instruction; CPS certified LSS instructors will support its customer's strategic decision to substantially increase its cadre of LSS-trained employees. This training is targeted to produce various levels of certified "belt practitioners" including Green and Black Belts, as well as the more prestigious Master Black Belt certification and Strategic Leader Workshops.

CPS Professional Services is partnered with Accenture Global Services on this 6-month bridge contract. During this period, CPS Lean Six Sigma instructors will teach, coach and mentor more than 500 students and lead and participate on several enterprise-wide Army projects. CPS provides a number of consultants to the Business Transformation Agency (BTA) of the Department of Defense. The staff members provide project management, communications, and consulting services to several groups within BTA.

In addition to CPS's opportunity with the Army, CPS has a thriving practice using LSS to execute a variety of programs. CPS has executed some notable projects in business transformation.
