Major General Carl H. McNair, Jr. USA (Retired)

Major General Carl H. McNair, Jr. serves as an advisor to CPS Professional Services after 32 years of distinguished military service and 23 years of corporate executive experience in US industry. His experience includes service as liaison with government organizations and legislative officials on behalf of company leadership.
Graduating from West Point in 1955, MG McNair served the U.S. Army in key Research and Development, Infantry, and Army Aviation command and staff positions, culminating his military career as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Combat Developments and Chief of Staff, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, retiring in the grade of Major General.
Throughout his military career, MG McNair received four awards of the Distinguished Flying Cross, over fifty Air Medals, and multiple service awards from the U.S. and allied nations. In addition, he holds two awards of the Distinguished Service Medal, the Army's highest peacetime award, the French Legion of Honor, and many other decorations from the Republic of China, Vietnam and Korea.
For his contribution to the Army, he was awarded the Secretary of the Army Public Service Award in 2007. He was further honored in 2008 by the West Point Society of DC with the Castle Memorial Award as the graduate who has most distinguished himself in both a military and civilian capacity, achieving success in a second career outside the military.
Active in community affairs throughout the National Capital Region, MG McNair is a member of many non-profit boards and foundations, including the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and the associated BizPAC, Easter Seals of the Greater Washington-Baltimore Region, George Mason University Civil Engineering Institute, the Army Historical Foundation and the Army Aviation Museum Foundation, the West Point Society of DC, the Army Aviation Association of America, Aviation Association Scholarship Foundation, NDIA, AUSA and his USMA Class of 1955.
